“S M I L E” Tablet Paintings, Digital Print Exhibition.
Aysel Cirpanli, born in 1937, graduated from Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy, Painting Department Zeki Faik Izer Atelier in 1967 with a degree.
The artist, who has participated in Oskar Kokoshcka’s Atelier in Salzburg International Summer Academy, later opened her own atelier, settling in Izmir. She has formed her style of painting upon the basis of creating authentic and innovative works avoiding self repetition. Thus, she sustained her interest to explore difficult and different techniques of painting in all periods of her life.
In 2015, Retrospective Painting Exhibition opened in Izmir State Painting and Sculpture Museum of Aysel Cirpanli, whose approximately 400 paintings have entered into various private collections both inside and outside of Turkey, a selection of 134 works from her series human scenes from streets portraits, still life paintings with various techniques and latest works on friendships and memories of Izmir were displayed.
Aysel Cirpanli, who has provided education in this field and celebrated her 50th anniversary in arts in 2016, continues to pass on her passion for arts to new generations and art lovers interested in painting in Izmir. In this exhibition named by the artist, “Smile”, contemporary works created on a tablet with limited prints that are signed by the artist are presented.
